Controller
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy is Jenkins Family Office GmbH, Brügglistrasse 2, 8852 Altendorf, Canton of Schwyz, Switzerland. The controller may be contacted at hello@jenkinsoffice.com for any matter relating to this policy or to the exercise of your rights.
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, revised) and, where our processing falls within its territorial scope, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Data we collect
We collect only what is necessary to correspond with you and to operate this website securely:
- Inquiry data — full name, organisation, email address, telephone number, jurisdiction, the nature of your inquiry and the free-text context you provide.
- Correspondence — the content of emails and letters exchanged with us, and any documents you choose to send.
- Technical data — IP address, user agent and timestamps recorded in our hosting provider's server logs for security and availability purposes.
This website contains no analytics, advertising, profiling or behavioural tracking technology of any kind. We do not purchase or enrich personal data from third-party sources.
Purposes of processing
Personal data is processed to respond to and evaluate inquiries; to establish, administer and perform a client mandate; to comply with legal obligations including anti-money-laundering, know-your-client and record-keeping duties; and to maintain the security and integrity of this website and our correspondence systems.
Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for the submission of a voluntary inquiry; the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b)) where a mandate is under discussion or in place; compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) for regulatory and record-keeping duties; and our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in the security of our systems and the defence of legal claims. Under the FADP, processing is carried out in good faith, is proportionate, and is limited to the purposes stated above.
Recipients and transfers
Personal data is disclosed only where necessary: to our hosting and email providers acting as processors under written agreement; to professional advisers bound by confidentiality; and to competent authorities where compelled by law. Where data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses together with appropriate supplementary measures. We do not sell personal data under any circumstances.
Retention
Inquiry data that does not result in a mandate is retained for twelve months and then deleted. Where a mandate is established, client and transaction records are retained for ten years following the end of the relationship, in line with Swiss commercial and anti-money-laundering record-keeping requirements. Server logs are retained for a maximum of ninety days.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to request access to your personal data; to have inaccurate data corrected; to request erasure; to request restriction of processing; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; to receive your data in a portable format; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
Requests may be sent to hello@jenkinsoffice.com and are answered within thirty days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, within the EU/EEA, with your local supervisory authority.
